ITweb has an interesting article on the Xhosa translation effort. A snippet about translate.org.za appeared in the Africa Liaison Program Initiative (ALPI) - A program within InterAction's Division of Development Policy and Practice - monthly e-news bulletin. News of our project was also featured in the local Cape Town newspaper - The Cape Times. Newsforge also made reference to the Mail & Guardian article. Translating Software into African languages. Translate.org.za aims to give all citizens of South Africa access to computers in their mother tongue. |
