The News - Geleenthede, praatjies & voorleggings
Saturday, 12 November 2005

Yesterday, 11 November, saw a number of translators, friends, funders and well-wishers descend on the Translate offices to celebrate the launch of OpenOffice.org 2.0 in all of the official languages.

During the speeches, Abi Mathibele, spoke on behalf of the translators present and said the following which set the tone for the evening, "When you speak my language, you speak to my heart. When you speak to me in English, you speak to my head, you speak business". At Translate we hope to continue to speak to people's hearts as we continue to localise more software.

During the morning we had the privilege of an interview on John Perlman's show on SAfm. We spoke about the launch of OpenOffice.org and also about the South African keyboard that we have developed.
