We as South Africans and the African continent, has to commend you for being one of the pioneers in this work. There was an assumption that was made ---indicating that African languages cannot be used in the ICT field but through your leadership, translate.org.za did it.

Thanks for bringing our indigenous languages into this field--this means they will not die, they will be accessible to the majority of marginalised people...Your work bridges the digital divide by using the indigenous languages. It is also about inclusivity. You were also not selfish and in the true South African spirit of working with our African brothers and sisters in the continent, you have also encouraged the translation into other African languages of this continent.
